What we expect
- Lead the field workforce and support teams in alignment with sales volume to consistently meet or exceed customer expectations for project scheduling and execution
- Plan, direct and coordinate employee assignments, visually monitor employee performance on projects to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and budgets
- Ensure all employees comply with safety procedures as set out by company policy and provincial Health and Safety Act. Investigate any work-related accident/incident/near misses
- Supervise maintenance operations, ensuring adherence to established procedures and providing hands-on technical support to resolve issues and optimize equipment performance
- Work in coordination with property managers, designated managers, and owners to meet or exceed contractual obligations
- Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and training of field personnel
- Support union-related matters, administer policies, and foster strong labor relations
- Collaborate with the Sales Team on site surveys, offering technical recommendations to enhance product performance and project outcomes
- Oversee material and equipment readiness by surveying ongoing projects and coordinating timely procurement aligned with project schedules
- Maintain current knowledge of all aspects of elevator technology
- Take ownership of issues, provide solutions, and ensure exceptional customer service
- Other tasks as assigned
Who we are looking for
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the elevator industry, including supervisory or managerial roles
- A proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings, documents and specifications
- Competent in the care, use and application of all tools integral to the Elevator Industry
- Competent in the use of basic business software and hardware
- A desire to learn, maintain and expand knowledge of all aspects of elevator technology; both mechanical and electrical
- Experience with multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple projects
- Must be able to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Requires demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of employee and customer, internal and external
